I received an email today (after months of waiting) stating that the sesame app can now work on Android 4.4.4. I was so excited.
I got the lock over the latch and installed the "update" I found on playstore.
I logged in, answered questions (already further than I've got before"
I found my sesame device and clicked on it, then it said "connecting"
But then I remembered "Oh! I need to connect to sesame via bluetooth".
So I got out of the app, rebooted phone, found the sesame in available BT devices and paired successfully. However, I could not get it from paired to connected.
I tried the app again, got through all the parts as before and then it said "Configuring Sesame"
Then it said "Oops! Something went wrong try again". Soo depressed...
So while having a smoke I was thinking, maybe it would be better to uninstall the app, pull the battery from my android and reinstall the new app (instead of just the update) and try again. So that is what I did.
Now, I find the sesame in BT devices (with the name I chose during configuration - so something worked) but when I chose to pair it it said "Unable to communicate with "
Next I thought, what if I can reset the sesame, so I looked it up on YouTube.
Seemed easy enough! My sesame was still taped to the door but I could not get the cover off. Now I see! The tape is also holding cover on tight. Well, I wasn't about to remove sesame from my door because I only have one more set of tape to use. So now I'm stuck..
I tried finding the previous email I sent to sesame (from months ago) opening a ticket so I can do it again, but alas I could not find it and I don't delete emails.
So if anyone knows how I can open a ticket with candyhouse about this new problem, please let me know. I am thoroughly frustrated with what they call support. I have been patient since I bout the device (I think it has been 3-4 months now - but I can't be sure)
Thanks for letting me vent
