I just received a new Sesame lock that I purchased from Amazon. I was able to create an account via the app and everything was going smoothly until I tried to add my lock to my app. I can see the device and I can try to connect to it but, every time it tells me there was an error and it couldn't be added.
at first, it would tell me that it was binding and it would get all the way to the "set lock position" portion of the set up before it would say that it lost connection with the lock. Then it would go through a loop of connecting, "set lock position" and then losing connection over and over.
I ended up resetting the lock and trying to re-add it. Now, when I try to connect the device to my account, it just errors out showing the Oops! message. It never gets past "binding"
The last time I tried, I did see a message at the bottom of my screen that there was a problem with a paring pin? Couldn't catch it all. I'm also receiving a message saying I need to remove the previously paired connection from my bluetooth settings but there is nothing there.
I've reset the device, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, taken batteries out, etc. turned bluetooth on/off.
I'm running the app on a Pixel 2 xl Android 8.1.0 (march 5 2018 security patch)
Do I just have a bad unit? I don't have problems connecting to any other bluetooth devices.
