Thanks for reaching out to us! We are so sorry to hear that you are having issues with Sesame thinking your lock is still unlocked when you use your key.
Unfortunately, Sesame is currently unable to support asymmetrical locks, as Sesame relies on the position of the knob in order to determine whether your deadbolt is locked or unlocked. We are aware that this is an issue for some customers and hope to be able to offer a solution for our users soon, but unfortunately we cannot yet offer a firm timeline on when this will be possible. Some users have recommended allowing manual control of Sesame or a range of locked positions, and we are still evaluating the best solution. For the time being, would it be possible for you to use only Sesame to lock or unlock the door to avoid this issue?
Alternatively, you can also re-configure your Sesame lock and unlock angles using only your key to lock and unlock Sesame so that the lock and unlock positions will be consistent between when the app is used and when the key is used, but this may not work for your lock depending on how your lock works.
We apologize that we cannot currently offer another solution, but rest assured, we are aware this is affecting customers and are looking for ways to fix it. We apologize for the inconvenience! Please keep an eye on our blog or sign up for our newsletter to receive updates regarding new features for Sesame. - CANDY HOUSE
